Santa Monica-based Joost Media, the video advertising arm of Adconion Media Group, said Wednesday that it has launched a new, interactive pre-roll video product it calls j-Roll. The company said the new ad format provides all the features and functionality of a website within an ad unit, including ability to play games, print coupons, view images, view store locators, and more. Joost offers up in-video banner advertising and other products. Adconion spun Joost out as an independent business in January, with its headquarters in Santa Monica.
