JustFabulous Lands $33M

El Segundo-based Just Fabulous, a new startup spun out of Intelligent Beauty, the e-commerce firm headed by Don Ressler and Adam Goldenberg, said this morning that it has raised $33M in a Series A funding round, for its "fashion styling" and fashion site. The investment was led by Matrix Partners, and also included Technology Crossover Ventures and fashion TV star Kimora Lee Simmons. Josh Hannah of Matrix Partners has joined the company's board as part of the funding. Simmons also has been appointed President and Creative Director of the site. JustFab is focused on monthly delivery of shoes and handbags. Just Fabulous becomes the latest in a series of e-commerce and celebrity hybrids to appear in the Los Angeles area; similarly structured startups in the area include StyleMint (celebrity T-shirt designs with the Olsen twins); ShoeDazzle (shoes, Kim Kardashian); JewelMint (jewelry, Kate Bosworth and Cher Coulter); TypeF (fashion, Tyra Banks); and Beautymint (beauty products, Jessica Simpson).
