    KidZui Launches Web Browser For Children


    San Diego-based KidZui has launched a new browser and online service aimed at kids today, taking aim at children 3 to 12 years old. The firm, which is venture backed by Maveron, Emergence Capital Partners and First Round Capital, said today that the firm's browser is now available for download on the firm's web site. KidZui's Internet service limits Internet browsing to what the firm says are more than 500,000 reviewed, child-appropriate web sites. The browser also includes parental controls on what kinds of content children are allowed to access, and monitoring of which web sites kids have viewed. KidZui said the browser is available for both PCs and Macs, and will cost initially cost $4.95 per month or $49.95 per year for parents.
