Koders Acquired By Software Firm
Santa Monica-based Koders, a provider of source code search software and an online open source, source code search site, has been acquired. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Waltham, Mass.-based Black Duck Software said Monday that it will integrate Koders' search site into its products, and also enhance Koders' site with its own knowledge base products. According to Black Duck, Koders serves over 30,000 developers each day searching for open source code. Koders was backed by the Founders Fund, the VC investment arm of PayPal founder Peter Thiel.
