    Kotura Moves Packaging To Asia

Monterey Park-based Kotura, a developer of silicon photonic components, said this week that it has moved its packaging assembly to Asia. The company is tapping Broadex, a contract manufacturer, for its services. Kotura said that the move would allow it to focus its internal resources on new product design. Kotura develops silicon-based, CMOS optical components. The company formed from the merger of Arroyo Optics and Lightcross, and is backed by ARCH Venture Partners, ComVentures, GF Private Equity Group, and Viterbi Group.
