Leap, V-Enable Ship Ringtone Application

San Diego-based Leap Wireless said this week that it is adding V-Enable's musicmatch voice-enabled ringtone application to its Cricket Clicks wireless services. V-Enable's voice-recognition technology allows Leap's wireless customers to verbally ask for ringtones from their favorite artists. The addition of the technology reduces the number of menus and steps that users need to wade through to download a ringtone. V-Enable, a startup backed by Acumen, Poole Investment Ventures, Siemens Venture Capital, Sorrento, and the Tech Coast Angels, is developing voice navigation software for cell phone users.
