Life Technologies, UCSD Tie On Genomic Analysis Effort

Carslbad-based Life Technologies, a developer of genomic analysis technology, and the University of California at San Diego's Moores Cancer Center, said this morning that the two are collaborating on a research effort. According to the two, they will study chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), a cancer of white blood cells, using Life's SOLID 4 genomic analysis technology. The two said the effort--funded by the Naitonal Instiutes of Health--will involve research team made up of both scientists from UCSD and Life Technologies.
