Carlsbad-based Life Technologies announced today that it has signed an exclusive license agreement for a DNA error-correction kit developed by Novici Biotech LLC. Financial terms of the license were not disclosed. According to Life, the technology it is licensing increases the accuracy and pace of research in the field of synthetic biology. Novici's technology is used to detect and correct errors in DNA synthesis or during PCR assembly.
