    Linksys Launches VPN Routers

Irvine-based Linksys launched two new routers last week targeting small office/home office and small businesses. Linksys said that its new 4-Port Gigabit Security Router with VPN, and 4-Port SSL/IP Sec VPN Routers are targeted at small businesses and remote workers. The new VPN router provides Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) firewall and Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDS/IPS) capability; the new SSL/IPSec router supports SSL technology to connect remote users to office networks. Linksys is a division of Cisco.
