Lionsgate Invests In Finnish Game Developer

Santa Monica-based entertainment company Lionsgate has made an investment in a Finnish game developer, Next Games, as part of a strategic partnership, the studio said this morning. According to Lionsgate, the investment comes as part of an extended Series A financing round for Next Games. Size of the investment was not disclosed. Next Games is made up of veterans from Rovio, Supercell, and Disney, and is developing mobile games, including a title around the TV series The Walking Dead.
