    LiveUniverse Buys Pageflakes

Hollywood-based LiveUniverse, the firm headed by former Intermix founder Brad Greenspan, said Friday that it has acquired Pageflakes, a San Francisco-based firm which provides personalized homepages. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. LiveUniverse said that the deal is a combination of cash and stock, plus "several million dollars" of online promotion on LiveUniverse's web sites. Pageflakes operates an online service which allows people to create their own personalized home page using Web 2.0-style widgets. According to LiveUniverse, Pageflakes will become a wholly owned subsidiary of the firm, and will remain in San Francisco. In addition, Pageflakes CEO Dan Cohen will continue in his existing rol and become a Senior Vice President at LiveUniverse. Brad Greenspan founded Intermix, the parent company of MySpace.
