Local ID Lands $1.9M

Los Angeles-based Local ID, a new startup that is looking to help retail and restaurant brands to improve their local store marketing efforts, has raised $1.9M in a seed funding round, the company said today. The funding was led by Crosscut Ventures, and also included Technicolor, TenOneTen, Baroda Ventures, Double M Partners, Tallwave, Wavemaker Partners and Queens Bridge Venture Partners Local ID is led by local technology veteran Alex Nocifera, who previously was founder and CEO of Ripple TV and Circle Street.
