Los Angeles-based content developer Machinima is on the verge of an investment deal with Google, according to a report published Monday by AllthingsD. Size and details of the funding have yet to be announced, but according to the report is expected to close within a month and be worth around $30M, valuing Machinima at around $190M post-funding. Machinima consistently ranks among the top providers of content on Google's YouTube, and has been one of the companies spearheading YouTube's push into original content.
