Macromedia, QUALCOMM Put Flash In BREW-
Macromedia and San Diego-based Qualcomm this morning said that the companies are extending Macromedia's popular Flash multimedia format into Qualcomm's wireless BREW platform. Macromedia said that it will create a version of Macromedia Flash Lite as an extension of the popular BREW wireless development platform. The software will ship next year, and allow developers to port their Flash-based applications to run on cell phones and other wireless devices using Qualcomm technology. Qualcomm's BREW environment provides multimedia extensions for developing multimedia features for wireless phones.
