MaMoCa Raises $750K
Irvine-based MaMoCa, a firm developing motion capture technology for the video game, TV, and movie animation industries, has quietly raised around $750K in an angel round from the Tech Coast Angels, socalTECH has learned. MaMoCa is developing a system that accurately captures movement without requiring the use of traditional "markers", used by animators to accurately capture human and other movements. MaMoCa was a winner of "best presentation" at the Tech Coast Angel's Orange County Fast Pitch Competition last year.
