Masimo Gets FDA Clearance Of New Device

Irvine-based medical device manufacturer Masimo reports this mornign that it has received FDA clearance on a new device, on its MightySat Rx spot-check fingerprint pulse oximeter. According to Masimo, the clearance covers respiration rate (RRp), oxygen saturation (SpO2), pulse rate (PR), perfusion index (Pi), and Pleth Variability Index (PVi) measurements of its pulse oximeter. Masimo specifically said the support of measuring respiration rate (RRp) helps clinicians with more ways to accurately measure breathing rate in patients.
