Los Angeles-based angel investor group Maverick Angels is launching a new, virtual effort to reach out to angel investors today, which it is calling AngelLink. According to the angel investment group, which is headed by John Dilts, the new virtual angel network will allow accredited investors to watch videos of and assess entrepreneur presentations online, and collaborate virtually to make investments. The new network--open only to SEC accredited investors--will show videos of entrepreneur presentations, give access to business plan materials, and view company requests for assistance. Dilts said in a statement that the new effort is targeted at helping struggling entrepreneurs seeking start-up capital.
