MaxxAthlete Debuts Youth Sports Site
Event marketing and digital media management firm MaxxAthlete officially launched a youth sports-oriented Web site today. The Manhattan Beach, Calif.-based company already operates four other sites—JoxxStop.com, MaxxScoreCard.com, MaxxInsight.com and GrassRootsTV.com. MaxxAthlete said its new Web service caters to anything associated with youth sports and includes live and on-demand broadband video coverage, integrated rosters, statistics and player profiles. MaxxAthlete said the site will initially emphasize grassroots basketball, with more than 100,000 players representing some 8,000 teams taking part in the company's spring and summer basketball initiatives. Other sports, such as volleyball, will be added in the coming months, the company said. MaxxAthlete recently raised a Series A round of funding, and acquired three online event-based youth sports services.
