Carlsbad-based Medsphere Systems, which develops open source, electronic health record (EHR) software, said this morning that it has named Mike Morotti as its Vice President of Sales. Morotti was previously at Validus Medical Systems, and also served at Aspect Medical Systems. Medsphere is venture backed by Azure Capital Partners, EPIC Ventures, Thomas Weisel Partners, and Western Technology Investment.
