Megapath Acquires IP Merchant Solutions

Costa Mesa-based MegaPath announced Tuesday that the firm has acquired IP Merchant Solutions, a provider of MPLS VPN services for connecting to credit card processors. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. MegaPath, which provides managed IP and voice services, said the move will give its merchants a way to access credit card processors through its infrastructure. MegaPath said the service gives a low cost alternative to merchants who need private network-to-network interconnects to credit card processing firms. MegaPath provides T1, MPLS VPN, SIP trunking, and other voice and data networking services.
