San Diego-based MeLLmo, a firm developing mobile applications, said Tuesday that it has launched a new application it is calling RoamBi, which allows users to view and analyze data from spreadsheets, tables, and reports via Apple's iPhone. The firm said its application--which also connects into Force.com's AppExchange and Salesforce.com CRM reports--is different from "inefficient, clunky, shrunken-down versions" of desktop applications and takes advantage of the iPhone's multi-touch display. The application is free from the iTunes App Store, with premium versions of its service to roll out later this year.
