Santa Barbara-based Mentor Corporation said today that it is in a definitive agreement to acquire Perouse Plastie SAS, a French medical device company, in a deal worth 42M euros (approximately $56.5M US). The acquisition is expected to close in July. Perouse is a manufacturer and distributor of silicone gel breast implants. Mentor Corporation is a supplier of medical products for the aesthetics market.
