    Mergere Launches Open Source Services


    Marina Del Rey-based Mergere said today that it is officially launching commercial support for the Apache Maven and Continuum open source projects. The new firm, funded by Simula Labs and headed by Gluecode founder Winston Damarillo, will provide subscription-based support, training, and consulting for enteprises implementing the Apache Maven and Continuum open source projects. Maven and Continuum are used to automate software build management. The new firm will include Jason van Zyl, the founder of Apache Maven.
