Metacloud Gets $15M More

Pasadena-based managed cloud provider Metacloud has raised $15M more, in a Series B funding round, the company said this morning. The startup--which helps companies deploy OpenStack-based, private clouds--said the funding came from Pelion Venture Partners, Silicon Valley Bank, and UMC Capital, along with AME Cloud Ventures, Canaan Partners, and Storm Ventures. Metacloud said that its install based doubled over the last quarter, and explained that adoption has "accelerated dramatically" for the company's products in the past year. Metacloud said it will use the new funds to expand its team, and also to accelerate the evolution of its product. More information »
