    Metallic Power Shuts Doors


    The San Diego Union Tribune is reporting that Carlsbad-based Metallic Power has shut its doors. Metallic Power was developing zinc fuel cell technology, and had raised over $40M in venture funding from Perseus, Cinergy Ventures, CDP Capital, and others. The company had produced a prototype of its technology, but had been unable to manufacture it economically.
