    Metapa Lands E Networks


    Sherman Oaks-based Metapa and Sun Microsystems announced today that E! Networks, a producer and distributor of entertainment news, has tapped the two companies for a integrated data warehousing solution. E! will use Metapa's Cluser DataBase running on the Solaris operating system to deploy their business intelligence infrastructure, which is used for optimizing content programming at E!. Metapa's Cluster DataBase solution is based on open-source database technology combined with parallel clustering techniques to provide a low cost, high performance database capabilities.
