Midway Studios Shuts Moorpark Location
Chicago-based Midway Games Inc, a publisher and developer of interactive games, said Monday evening that it will combine the firm's Los Angeles studio, which is based in Moorpark, with its San Diego operations. The firm said that it will combine Midway Studios-Los Angeles with Midway Home Entertainment, which is based in San Diego. Number of employees affected by the move was not disclosed by the company, however, the company said that the "majority" of its Moorpark employees will be offered the opportunity to transfer to the company's San Diego facility. Midway Games said it will complete the transition out of its Moorpark facility by September 30th.
