A Bay area developer of social entertainment applications for Facebook, Milyoni, said Friday that it has scored $11M in a funding round, in part to open up an office in Los Angeles. The firm said the Series B funding was led by Oak Investment Partners, and also included ATA Ventures and Thomvest Ventures. Milyoni also said it will be opening up a New York office. The company did not say why it decided on a Los Angeles office, however, the firm has a significant number of relationships with studios, who use the company's apps to increase engagement with their fans. The company said it currently has fifteen studio partnerships and "dozens" in the pipeline.
