Newport Beach-based Mindspeed, a developer of high speed networking chips, is reporting another design win for its Comcerto processor. Mindspeed said today that Hitachi has selected its product as part of an ultra-low-power, home gateway being used in fiber-to-the-home access in Japan. financial details and shipment volumes were not announced. Mindspeed's processor is being used for broadband gateways and equipment.
