Corona Del Mar-based Miramar Venture Partners said this morning that it has added Armond Hairapetian, Ph.D. to its firm. Hairapetian will act as Entrepreneur in Residence for Miramar, with a focus on forming new companies around new technology. Hairapetian was most recently General Manager of Broadcom's optical products division. He was also co-founder and CEO of NewPort Communications, which was sold to Broadcom in August 2000 for $1.2B.
