Mob Science Raises $1M For Social Gaming

San Diego-based Mob Science, a developer of social Facebook games, said this morning that it has raised $1M in a seed funding round. The round came from David Young, the CEO of Joyent, Mark Surfas of GameSpy Industries, along with other angels. Mob Science is the developer of inFamous Anarchy, Coffee Bar, Snowball Fight, Willy's Sweet Shop and other Facebook games. The firm said it will use the funding to invest aggressively in product development, including hiring game designers, product managers, engineers and others at its new office space in Carlsbad. Mob Science is headed by Michael Witz, who some may know from founding StockJungle.com. More information »
