Hughes Becomes The DIRECTV Group
El Segundo-based Hughes Electronics has been renamed "The DIRECTV Group" (www.directv.com) as well as changing its NYSE stock symbol from "HS" to "DTV". According to the company, the change was made to reflect the company's focus on its DIRECTV business.
