Santa Barbara-based CallWave has extended its VoIP services to the cell phone market, introducing a new mobile call screening and mobile call transfer service today. The company's new services allow users to listen to voice messaging in real time on their cell phone, and interrupt if they like to take a call. The company's new services also allow users to transfer a live cell phone call to their home or office phone. Working much like the company's existing PC-based/desktop screening services, the service issues a new phone number for an existing cell phone; the service then allows users to screen the calls and decide whether or not to take the call.
