Conexant Launches MPEG Encoder
Newport Beach-based Conexant has launched a new MPEG-2 audio/video encoder for the consumer electronics market. The company's new MPEG-2 encoder reduced component costs for manufacturers of set-top-boxes, personal computers, digital television sets, and video editing products. Conexant's CX23418 accepts analog and digital video and audio and encodes the results into MPEG compressed video. This allows for storing high quality video and audio in less storage space on electronic devices.
