Torrance-based Pharos Science & Applications has launched a new pocket-sized GPS navigation unit targeted at the consumer market. The company's EZ-Road Pocket GPS Navigator provides voice prompts, digital street maps, and door-to-door instructions on navigating. The touch-screen device includes street maps of the entire US, including Alaska and Hawaii. The device also provides contacts, book, and calendar management and an MP3 player and has a suggested list price of $529.00.
