Orqis Medical Finds $22.7M
Lake Forest-based Orqis Medical Corporation, a developer of a catheter-based cardiac recovery system, said that it has raised $22.7M in Series D financing. The company's systems are used to treat congestive heart failure. Funding came from Boston Scientific, existing investors, and new investor Lighthouse Capital Partners. The company is developing long term implantable therapeutic recovery solutions for patients with chronic heart failure. Existing investors include Domain Associates, Johnson and Johnson Development Corporation and others.
