Carlsbad-based security software provider Preventsys said this week that it has entered into a technology partnership with Rapid7, a vulnerability assessment and risk management software provider. Rapid7 is the maker of the NeXpose vulnerability management tool. The Preventsys software will retrieve vulnerability scan results from the Rapid7 tool to correlate with other network information. The Preventsys software manages multiple vulnerability assessment and configuration management tools and targets the risk and compliance reporting market. The company is backed by Apax Partners, Enterprise Partners, and UV Partners.
