Aperio Raises $17M Series B
Vista-based Aperio Technologies said this morning that it has raised a Series B venture round from Galen Partners and Advanced Technology Ventures. The firm raised $17M for its virtual microscopy systems for the healthcare industry in a Series B round of funding. The company said that it will use the capital for expanding sales and operations, developing new products, and protecting its intellectual property. The funding also included participation by Dako A/S. Aperio's technology is used to digitize the glass microscope slide process.
