Userplane Powers Local Campaign
Santa Monica-based Userplane said today that a local politician running for mayor in Philadelphia, Dwight Evans, is deploying the firm's web chat tools to power a weekly live video chat. The firm said that this is the first use of its web chat tools for a political campaign. Dwight Evans is a Democratic candidate for Philadephia mayor. Userplane is a provider of chat and other community tools for online web site communities, and is owned by AOL.
