Broadcom, Qualcomm Settle Two Lawsuits
Irvine-based Broadcom and San Diego-based Qualcomm said Friday that the two companies have settled two patent infringement lawsuits. Qualcomm said Friday that it has agreed with Broadcom to dismiss two patent infringement and trade secret misappropriation lawsuits; Broadcom said that in term it would dismiss counterclaims against Qualcomm in the suits. However, Broadcom still has a case of patent infringement and a U.S. International Trade Commission antitrust claim pending against Qualcomm. Both companies have been locked in patent battles since 2005.
