San Diego-based DivX and semiconductor firm NXP Semiconductors said today that DivX has certified a series of processors from NXP. The processors, which are used for set-top boxes, personal media players, in-car media players, and digital media adapters, now support playback of the DivX media format. NXP Semiconductor is a based in The Netherlands and is a spinoff of Philips. DivX is a provider of media encoding and decoding technology.
