Poway-based Apricorn, a manufacturer of hard drive storage products, said earlier this week that it has released a new encrypted hard drive includes a biometric fingerprint sensor to secure access to files. The new product, the Aegis Bio, requires that users scan their fingerprints before getting access to encrypted data on the company's hard drives. The products, available in 80GB, 120GB, and 160GB, is targeted at IT departments looking to secure mobile users. The firm's products start at $199 for the 80GB version.
