Snap.com Adds Firefox Browser Add-On
Pasadena-based Snap Technologies, the Idealab search engine and widget firm, said today that it has added a new Firefox add on which automatically adds the firm's web preview and other information to web pages. Snap said that the new Firefox web browser add-on will be followed by support for Internet Explorer and other browsers in coming weeks. The widget shows previews of web sites and other pertinent information when a user hovers over a web link. Previously, owners of a web site would have needed to install code from Snap to show previews; the add-on automatically adds the ability to any web site a user navigates to.
