Disney Buys Game Studio
Disney Interactive Studios said Thursday evening that it has acquired Junction Point Studios, an Austin, Texas-based video game studio. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The firm said that Junction Point Studios will create new video game franchises for next generation gaming platforms. Junction Point is headed by video game designer Warren Spector, who worked on Ultima Underworld I and II, System Shock, and Deus Ex, among other titles. Disney said that Junction Point is currently working on a yet to be announced next-generation development project.
