San Diego-based DivX, a provider of video encoding and decoding technology, said Monday that it has inked a series of deals with a number of content providers. DivX said that Vuze, Veoh Networks, Next New Networks, and Jaman will all offer their online video content through DivX Connected, a DivX effort to provide DivX-encoded media to consumer electronics devices. According to DivX, the first DivX Connected device will come from Fountain Valley-based D-Link in the first half of 2008; the company has also inked a partnership with Irvine-based Broadcom to certify Broadcom set-top box and digital TV chips for supporting the effort.
