Websense Rolls Out New Email Security Product
San Diego-based Websense said Wednesday that it has rolled out a new email messaging security product which it calls Websense Hybrid Email Security. The new product combines both hosted email security alongside an on-site, message security software. According to Websense, the new email security product combines software for outbound email inspection, with a hosted inbound virus and spam filtering service. The new products are the result of Websense's acquisition of SurfControl last October; the new offering is made up of Websense Email Security (formerly SurfControl E-Mail Filter) and Websense Hosted Email Security (formerly SurfControl MailControl). Pricing details of the new offering were not released.
