WD Ships 7200 RPM SATA Drive
Lake Forest-based Western Digital said today that it has begun shipping a new line of 7200 RPM, 2-5 inch SATA hard drives. The disk drive maker said the new hardware is designed for use in notebook computers and portable storage devices, and supports upt o 320GB in capacity. Among features of the storage products are features designed to protect from disk drive damage from physical shocks and drops, as well as quiet operation technology. WD's new Scorpio Black family of hard drives is available through distributors and resellers.
