Jazz Semi Licenses Technology To Fujitsu
Newport Beach-based Jazz Semiconductor said today that it has licensed its high-precision RF models and design kits for RF to Fujitsu Microelectronics Limited. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Jazz, which is now a unit of Tower Group, said the license deal will provide an ongoing royalty revenue stream to the firm. The technology involved allows users to create RF, systems-on-a-chip (SoC) designs that will be fabricated at Fujitsu's 300mm fab in Japan, in 90nm and 65nm process technologies. The RF technology is used by customers developing analog and mixed-signal semiconductors, typically in the wireless and high speed networking area.
