MySpace Launches Browser Toolbar
Los Angeles-based MySpace said Wednesday that it has officially launched its new MySpace Toolbar, an add-on for Internet Explorer 6.0 and Firefox 2.0 which directly connects MySpace users to their accounts. According to MySpace, the new tool--which it developed internally--allows users to receive real-time alerts and notifications from the site. Alerts include new friend requests, messages, comments, and updates. MySpace also said that it will be adding a version for Mac users in the near future.
