San Diego-based KidZui, which develops kid-safe browsers, has released a new version of the firm's software--this time in the form of a browser add on for the Mozilla Firefox browser. KidZui said the add-on, which works with Firefox 3.0, has all of the same features as the company's standalone browsers for the PC and Mac. KidZui's browsers are designed for kids from age 3 to 12, and feature parental control features and limitations on which sites can be accessed by children. The firm is venture backed by Maveron, Emergence Capital Partners and First Round Capital.
